The standard solidbody guitar features a neck-thru construction that allows for perfect access to the entire 24 fret fretboard. Most custom builds start with a mahogany body and either a mahogany or maple neck, depending on the desired level of tonal warmth. A large variety of facings can be used; figured maple has always been the most popular choice for both appearance and tone. The scale length is determined by the customer; typically this is determined by the desired feel and utilization of bending techniques. The standard electronics include two humbuckers, as this allows for a wide array of settings with the advantages of noise cancellation. Passive wiring can offer a variety of layouts, always customized for the individual. Actual knob layout can be specifically determined; an important feature for some players. One important aspect when having a custom guitar made is determining the height that the strings are set off of the body. Some players prefer the high feel of the tunematic bridge design; others want the strings low to the body for better control when using hand muting or fingerpicking. Each solidbody guitar is uniquely designed by the client, and no there are no limits to the options that can be requested. Individual quotes are given when requested.
