Mike Vallis

Picking up the bass guitar at the age of 10, Mike Vallis began a journey into the world of music. Now nearly 20 years later, Mike is often reffered to as one of the top bass players in the midwest. His extensive background is a major contributer to this. Mike has played in many bands over the years; ranging from funk, jazz, rock, hip-hop, alt rock, metal, thrash, and solo bass.
In 2006, Mike delved into the world of extended range bass. Utilizing his custom Stambaugh 9 string, he is able to add a new realm of sounds into any style of music.
Bands that Mike has been in have shared the stage with other groups such as 311, No Doubt, Alien Ant Farm, 2 Skinnie J's, PAW, Silent Civilian, Bleed The Sky, Phunk Junkeez, The Urge, Sikth, System Of A Down, and many more.
Last year, the 9 string bass in the photo was carried off by a tornado that hit his town in Kansas. Amazingly,it was eventually found in perfect conition and is still an active part of his arsenal.
