Keith Foley

&sp Keith is one of the earliest Stambaugh clients, getting his first bass 12 years ago. A local legend, his playing has inspired a new generation of bass players in the region. He has recorded with various artists through the years, notably composer Tim Janis.

His main gig is with the Amorphous band, an apropriately named group that has anywhere from 2 to 7 members on a given night. They have numerous rcordings under their belt.

Keith's main bass is the 7-string fretless. Due to the fact that he uses stainless steel roundwound strings, the ebony fretboard was machined extra thick. This helps give the bass it's singing tone.
