Spacedelic '67 Art Guitar
The first in a series of art guitars, this piece has a graphic design based on the intersection of modern art and graphic illustrations of the 1960's. The top is made of roughly 70 individually shaped and joined pieces of wood. This style of "puzzle piece" construction is referred to as antarsia; separate from inlay due to the use of all three dimensions in the final construction. Woods used include hard and soft figured maple, Indonesian ebony, wengee, bloodwood, thuya burl, camphor burl, figured myrtle, figured mahogany, morado, black walnut, yellowheart, purpleheart, and cocobolo.
